Milking, 2019   Materials: wood, paper, wire, plaster

This piece was inspired by the scandal of the dairy industry and the unethical practices kept hidden. From afar, the sculpture seems playful, forthcoming and accessible. The abstracted shapes represent the milk carton designs often overlooked by the everyday consumer. But upon closer inspection, there is a small hidden peephole that allows the curious to investigate the uncomfortably close quarters of the cows “behind closed doors”.
